Florianópolis
Florianópolis is the capital and the second largest city of Santa Catarina state in the Southern region of Brazil. It is composed of one main island, the Island of Santa Catarina (Ilha de Santa Catarina), a continental part and for over thirty small surrounding islands. The economy of Florianópolis is heavily based on information technology, tourism, and services. The city is known for having a very high quality of life, by the gastronomy, and for over forty paradisiacal beaches.
